Everyone would like to think the magic begins with going to the gym, finding a trainer, and completing a killer program that’s going to get us in the best shape ever, but it all starts with commitment. When we say commitment, we mean doing anything and everything it takes with no excuses. We challenge you to put on that mental blindfold and stop all negative thoughts, people, and foods that will steer you away from accomplishing your goals.
Most people tell themselves a story that allows them to feel sorry and justify quitting before their goals are achieved. This becomes habititual and before you know it, a year has passed and you wonder what it would be like if you followed through with your commitment LAST year. Here's the trick, take care of yourself and do the necessary tasks like eating clean, drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, and showing up to exercise even when you don’t feel like it!
Here is our encouragement list for the new year!
• Find a group or an individual that will hold you accountable to your goals. Teamwork develops accountability and makes exercise and eating healthy FUN!
•Find a facility or program thats right for you, your body, and your mindset. Everyone is different, so select a regimen that works for you!
•Keep track of your progress and new goals. It’s important to see where you started, where you are now, and the milestones you've reached along the way! This helps to keep you motivated and excited for the next step!
•Focus on your nutrition because it is 85% of your journey! If you're just starting out, try to add more fresh fruit and vegetables into your diet! Avoid refined sugars and processed foods.
•To become the best version of yourself takes time. There is no such thing as overnight success! You didn’t get here overnight so be patient with yourself! Be consistent and the results will follow.
